.The veneer was Sapele
Pommele Quilt and I had the 1/4 " panels laid up,
from which the top and back were made. The sides were bent
from birch and I then veneered the sides to match. There was a
very slight amber color coat in Nitrocellulose Laquer to unify
the veneers before the translucent sunburst went on, follow by
a succession of clear top coats. The body and neck were wet
sanded and polished before final assembly.Photos don't do it
justice as it is astounding to see in life. Thanks again for
the wonderful service you provide, especially to small
builders and craftsmen such as myself...
