Paul Schurch, and woodworking with Yeung Chan. My interest lies in the
area of veneer and marquetry work especially boxes and tables. Large pieces
also benefit from the use of veneer and marquetry as demonstrated in the
entertainment center in the accompanying images." ". . . My current
range of work would not be nearly what it is today if not for the influence
and association with both Dave Bilger and John Eifler. Dave’s knowledge
and fascination with wood/veneer is always both educational and entertaining
(I believe that he also sells some on occasion!). Quite a bit of my work
involves fine detail, hand cut with an 8/0 jewelers blade, and if not for
the instruction and inspiration of John Eifler (and his miraculous saw)
I wouldn't have had any idea as to how to accomplishing this . . ." |
